Antique river landscape oil painting of cattle in the shallows signed F Knight. English, circa 1900. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas, laid onto new canvas backing. Gilt frame (more modern). Depicts a herd of cows - two on the bank and two in the shallows. Size of frame: 24 x 17 inches; Size of canvas: 22 x 15 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 21.5 x 14.5 inches. Weight: 1.4 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some minor knocks to gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
