Antique oil painting study of young anglers attributed to W Shayer. English, circa 1860-80. Unsigned but provenance on reverse "W Shayer" - attributed to William Shayer, (British, 1811-1892). Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts children fishing - boy with rod and girl with basket. Size of frame: 15 x 13 inches; Size of painting: 10 x 8 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Weight: 1.26 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
