Antique oil painting study of hunting dogs and hunter signed SJ Kepple. English, circa 1910-20. Signed by the artist and dated Jun 9. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts hunting dogs with hunter. Entitled "In 4 hours" on reverse. Size of frame: 20 x 16.25 inches; Size of canvas: 14 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.5 x 9.5 inches. Weight: 2.1 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some damage to canvas with a repair to reverse, some minor restoration and some minor knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
