Antique oil painting study of country children with dog. English School, circa 1860-80. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on panel. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts country children at harvest time with dog. Size of frame: 17 x 14.5 inches; Size of panel: 9.75 x 7.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 9.25 x 6.5 inches. Weight: 2.2 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
