Antique oil painting study of a tiger mauling a hunter. English School, circa 11880-1900. Oil on canvas. Unsigned, artist unknown. Depicts a tiger mauling a hunter with another hunter pointing a gun at the tiger and another hunter running away. Size: 22.25 x 12 inches; Weight: 600g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some paint loss and some areas of damage to canvas and repairs to reverse but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic.
