Antique oil painting study of a fisherman stowing his boat in a cave signed MH 1894. British, possibly Cornish. Dated 94 (1894). Signed with artist's monogram. Oil on board. Distressed gilt gesso frame. Depicts a fisherman stowing his boat in a cave with various fishing paraphernalia lying around. Size of frame: 19 x 15 inches; Size of painting: 16 x 12 inches. Size of front painting aperture: 14.75 x 11 inches. Weight: 1.25 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
