Antique oil painting portrait study of a lace maker. English School, circa 1820-60. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts elderly lady in blue dress and white bonnet, making lace by the window. Size of frame: 15 x 13.5 inches. Size of canvas: 12 x 10.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 11 x 10 inches. Weight: 1.5 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
