Antique oil painting portrait study of a gentleman in ruffle collar. English School, circa 1750-1800. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on oak panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 16.5 x 14 inches; Size of panel: 8.75 x 7.25 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 8 x 6.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and a few pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
