Antique oil painting portrait of young girl. English School, circa 1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Distressed gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 22 x 18 inches; Size of canvas: 14.75 x 10.75 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 14 x 10.25 inches. Weight: 2.8 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame, lots of damage ie missing plaster and some water damage with powered gesso and an area of damage to canvas (on forehead area) with some restoration ie a large repair to reverse but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic. Please satisfy yourself as to the condition before buying.
