Antique oil painting portrait of porcelain bust of a nun signed JC Lilleres. French, circa 1900. Oil on canvas. Gilt frame. Depicts an porcelain bust of a distinguished lady, possibly a French nun. Size of frame: 17.5 x 13.5 inches; Size of canvas: 15.75 x 12 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 15 x 11 inches. Weight: 963g (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. The frame is not original to the work although the painting has been reframed in an ornate period frame. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic.
