Antique oil painting portrait of lady in bonnet called Maud dated 1875. English School, dated 1875. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Gilt frame (more modern). Depicts a lady in black dress with white collar and bonnet - provenance on label on back which reads: "Maud (or Maria) ...... 1875". Size of frame: 16 inches square; Size of canvas: 12.25 x 12 inches; Size of front portrait circular aperture: 10.25 inch diameter; Weight: 1.1 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some damage to canvas with several repairs to reverse but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
