Antique oil painting of a young boy signed A Morrison dated 1796. English, dated 96 (1796). Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame (more modern). Size of frame: 261.5 x 22.5 inches; Size of canvas: 22.5 x 17.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 20.5 x 16.5 inches. Weight: 2.3 kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, small area of damage to canvas with repair to reverse and please note the frame is antique but more modern than the portrait. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
