Antique nude oil painting portrait of seated figure by Alys Woodman RBSA. English, circa 1940s. Alys Woodman (1897–1987) was a Birmingham artist who moved to the Malverns, Worcestershire. She was associated with the Malvern School of Art. She exhibited four paintings at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. Provenance on reverse. Entitled "Seated Figure". RBSA label. Alys L Woodman + her Malvern address. Oil on board. Wooden frame. Size of frame: 29.75 x 17.5 inches. Size of painting: 28.5 x 16.5 inches. Weight: 1.5 kg (allow 7.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, board is slightly warped and some minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Lovely.
