Antique marine seascape coastal oil painting of Dutch sailing barges signed J Witham 1898. Signed by the artist. Dated '98 (ie 1898). Oil on canvas. Wood and gilt frame. Depicts Dutch barges (flying the flag of Holland), with fisherman bringing in the catch. Size of frame: 30.5 x 22.5 inches; Size of canvas: 24 x 16 inches. Weight: 3.5 kg (allow 7.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor craquelure but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
