Antique large Victorian silver plated goblet equestrian prize trophy for flat racing dated 1878. Decorative trophy in the shape of a goblet. Engraved as follows: "West Butterwick Sports, 1st Prize, 130 yards handicap, Flat Race, won by George W Cockin, Oct 9th 1878". Hallmark on base. Size: Height: 8.75 inches; Top diameter: 4.75 inches; base diameter: 3.75 inches. Weight: 550g (allow 1 kg once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches and tarnished but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
