Antique large copper measure. English. Mid to late Victorian. Circa 1880 - 1900. Assay mark on neck. Capacity: 1 gallon. Concave base. Size: height 10.25 inches; base diameter: 9 inches; top external diameter: 4.5 inches; internal diameter: 2 inches. Weight: 1.6 kg (allow 3.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Would originally have been from a large prosperous household or country estate kitchen. Would make an ideal plant watering jug or great display item. Condition commensurate with age and use - various marks & scratches and some dings & dents but all part of its character and charm. Priced accordingly.
