Antique landscape oil painting with shepherd and sheep. English School, circa 1840-80. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts cottages with shepherd and sheep in field. Size of frame: 18 x 14.5 inches; Size of painting: 14.5 x 11.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.75 x 10.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
