Antique landscape oil painting study of farm with figures and dog. English, circa 1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts farmhouse with figures and dog. Size of frame: 12.5 inches square; Size of painting: 9 inches square; Size of front painting aperture: 8.75 x 8.5 inches. Weight: 759g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some black spots in sky area and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
