Antique landscape oil painting of fox hunt with horses and hounds signed D Wolstenholme (1 of 2). English, circa 1860-80 Signed by the artist (Dean Wolstenholme, British (1798-1882). Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 13.5 x 11.5 inches; Size of panel: 10 x 8 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Weight: 886g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some minor knocks to gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
