Antique landscape oil painting of farm scene with horses and cows. English School, circa 1800-50. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts horses and cows with farm building in the background - a bucolic scene. Size of frame: 17 x 14 inches; Size of painting: 12 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 11 x 8.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some minor cracks and knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
