Antique horn medicine bottle or horn dosing instrument. This appears to be a traditional horn medicine bottle or horn dosing instrument, commonly used in the past to administer liquid medicine to animals like cattle. It was often crafted from animal horns and could be marked with initials or dates, as seen here. Cow horn, marked with initials "MKB" and "RB" and "RB 1778". Size: length along the outside curve: 16.5 inches; inside curve: 14 inches. Weight: 383g (allow 2kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches and some cracks but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
