Antique Gothic Apostle ceramic jug with pewter hinged cover by Charles Meigh & Sons. English, dated March 17 1843 on base. Also "Hanley". Highly ornamental jug of the Gothic Revival movement, led by Pugin. Size: Height: 8 inches; Base diameter: 4.5 inches. Weight: 900g (allow 3 kg once packed). Note; Condition is not perfect. It is missing its original foot and has had a crude repair to the handle where it meets the jug so not perfect but all part of its charm and character. Display item. Priced accordingly.
