Antique Georgian/early Victorian oil painting portrait of young lady in lace bonnet. English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Wooden frame. Depicts a young lady in black dress and lace bonnet. Size of frame: 15.5 x 13.75 inches; Size of portrait: 13 x 11 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 11.5 x 9.75 inches. Weight: 848g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some minor knocks to wooden frame but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
