Antique Georgian oil painting study of a dog fight Attributed to George Morland. English, circa 1800-04. Unsigned but artist's name on plaque - G. Morland (1763-1804). Oil on canvas. Gilt frame. Christies stencilled catalogue number on reverse. Depicts a dog fight. Size of frame: 23.5 x 19 inches; Size of canvas: 19 x 14.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 18.5 x 13.75 inches. Weight: 2.5 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
