Antique Georgian oil painting portrait study of hunting dogs and hare. English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame (more modern). Depicts a couple of hunting dogs with hare. Size of frame: 15 x 13 inches; Size of canvas: 11 x 8.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 10 x 8 inches. Weight: 1.46 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
