Antique Georgian oil painting portrait study of gentlemen feeding horses in stable After George Morland (2 of 2). English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown but the first in the pair is marked on reverse: "After George Morland". Oil on canvas. Gilt frame (more modern). Depicts gentlemen feeding horses from feedstore in stable, with dog in attendance. Size of frame: 25 x 21.5 inches. Size of canvas: 22 x 18.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 21.5 x 18 inches. Weight: 1.9 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, lots of craquelure and some minor knocks to gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
