Antique Georgian oil painting portrait study of gentleman and dog stabling his horses After George Morland (1 of 2). English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown but marked on reverse: "After George Morland". Oil on canvas. Gilt frame (more modern). Depicts a gentleman with his dog, stabling his horses. Size of frame: 25 x 21.5 inches. Size of canvas: 22 x 18.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 21.5 x 18 inches. Weight: 1.9 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, lots of craquelure and some minor knocks to gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
