Antique Georgian oil painting portrait study of a girl reading a letter. English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Gilt frame. Depicts a girl reading a letter by a spring. Size of frame: 15 x 12 inches; Size of painting: 11.75 x 9 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 11 x 8 inches. Weight: 877g (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, minor damage and scuffs and some minor knocks to and pieces missing from gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
