Antique Georgian oil painting portrait of a gentleman in necktie. English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Depicts a gentleman in necktie. Size: 18 x 16.5 inches. Weight: 847g (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, a layer of varnish and a little tatty around perimeter but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality.
