Antique Georgian mahogany knife box. English, circa 1800. Mahogany veneer, marquetry inlay inside lid, silver plated key escutcheon but no key. Size: Height: back: 13.5 inches; front: 8.25 inches. Width: 9 inches. Weight: 1.7 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches, some minor damage, chips to veneer and no key but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
