Antique Georgian early Victorian oil painting study of hunter's game rabbit. English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on oak panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame (more modern). Depicts a hunter's rabbit hanging from a tree. Size of frame: 13.5 x 11.75 inches; Size of panel: 10.25 x 8 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 10 x 8 inches. Weight: 870g (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
