Antique Georgian early Victorian oil painting study of mother and child on a country lane with windmill (2 of 2) English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a mother and child on a country road with a windmill in the background. Size of frame: 13.25 x 11.5 inches; Size of painting: 8 x 6 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 7.75 x 6 inches. Weight: 900g (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
