Antique Georgian early Victorian oil painting portrait study of boys playing with spinning top. English School, circa 1880-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a couple of boys playing with a small spinning top. Size of frame: 22 x 19.5 inches; Size of canvas: 16 x 13 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 15.5 x 13 inches. Weight: 2.8 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor knocks to gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
