Antique Georgian early Victorian oil painting portrait study of a young lady with dog. English School, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Gilt frame with oval aperture. Depicts an young lady sitting by a stream with a musical pipe on her lap accompanied by her dog. Size of frame: 10.75 x 9 inches; Size of portrait: 8 x 6.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 5.5 x 4 inches. Weight: 770g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some minor knocks to and pieces missing from gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
