Antique French signed oil painting study of interior scullery scene. French, circa 1910-20. Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature - possibly J Vaget? Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts an interior scullery scene with cobbled path. Size of frame: 17.5 x 14.5 inches; Size of canvas: 13.5 x 11 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.75 x 10.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some craquelure but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
