Antique French signed impressionist landscape painting of lake and mountains (1 of 2). French School, circa 1910. Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature - looks like NM Sol but can't be absolutely sure. Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 19.5 x 12 inches; Size of painting: 15.75 x 8.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 15 x 7.75 inches. Weight: 1.5 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
