Antique French purple velvet jacket coat with gold braid theatrical costume size M/L. 100% Cotton - velvet with gold braid decoration. Round neck with braid, button thro with braid decoration, wide sleeves with braid cuffs, braid and button decoration at back vent. Size: Chest: 40 inches; Shoulder to shoulder: 18 inches; Sleeve length: 22 inches; armhole width: 10 inches; cuff width: 12 inches; Length: 42 inches. Weight: heavy - allow up to 3 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age and use - some wear to velvet pile which is worn off in some areas, some areas of wear on back, gold braid is loose around neck and needs stitching back to secure, small hole in seam on arm - again, needs a mend - plus one button missing on front (but I will try and find a similar one to send), fully lined in purple cotton - an amazing old coat. Priced accordingly. A wonderful display item (if not to be worn).
