Antique French prayer chair or 'prie–dieu' - collection from London, UK only. French, circa 1890. Ebonised wood with decorative back, worn textile seat. Size: height of back: 34 inches; width of seat: 19.5 inches; depth of seat: 18 inches. Condition commensurate with age and use - lots of wear to textile seat. Best described as shabby chic. An upholstery project or leave as is. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly. NB - Collection only from Brockley, London SE4 or you are welcome to arrange your own courier. Please note the chair will not be packed up. We do travel about from time to time so do ask if we are able to deliver in the near (or not too distant!) future for a small fee - perhaps a long shot but worth a try!
