Antique French oil painting study of rooster and chicken. French, circa 1930s. Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature. Oil on panel. Wooden frame. Depicts a rooster and chicken in the barn. Slightly Impressionist in style. Size of frame: 21 x 18 inches; Size of painting: 16 x 13 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 15.5 x 12.25 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
