Depicts a gentleman and lady in formal attire. Size of frame: 15 x 12.25 inches; Size of panel: 10 x 7.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 9.75 x 7 inches. Weight: 1.2 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some scuffs and chips to paintwork and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Best described as shabby chic or faded grandeur. Priced accordingly. This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality. Please DO satisfy yourself as to the condition before buying.
