Antique French landscape oil painting study of sheep signed V Veziere. French, circa 1900-20. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Ebonised frame is more modern. Depicts sheep with shepherd in cloak in background. Size of frame: 24 x 20 inches; Size of canvas: 18.25 x 15 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 17.5 x 14.5 inches. Weight: 3.4 kg (allow 8 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and an area of damage to canvas with a large repair at reverse but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
