Antique French landscape oil painting study of figure on bridge signed J Debray (2 of 2). French, circa 1890. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Very distressed gilt gesso frame. Slightly Impressionist in style. Size of frame: 19.5 x 16 inches. Size of canvas: 13 x 9.5 inches. Size of front painting aperture: 12.5 x 9 inches. Weight: 2.8 kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed). Frame in very tatty condition - various superficial marks and scratches, some repairs and lots of knocks to and large pieces missing from the gesso frame hence very delicate. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier. No refunds will be available for this reason nor can the item be returned.
