Antique French Impressionist river landscape oil painting of Oriental figures. European, possibly French School, circa 1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Gilt frame (more modern). Depicts a couple of figures in Oriental dress under a cherry blossom tree. Possibly painted in the Far East. Size of frame: 25.75 x 18 inches; Size of canvas: 20 x 12 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 19.5 x 11.5 inches. Weight: 2.6 kg (allow up to 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, small area of damage to canvas with a repair to reverse and some minor knocks to gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
