Antique French Impressionist landscape oil painting of lady hanging out the washing signed Rollonday. French, circa 1900. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Distressed elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a country road with woman hanging out the washing. Size of frame: 20 x 16 inches; Size of canvas: 14 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.25 x 9.25 inches. Weight: 2.4 kg (allow 8 kg volumetric weight once packed). Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, a tiny hole in canvas at the top and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame ie significant damage and plaster loss, but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Please DO satisfy yourself as to the condition before buying - thanks. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
