Antique French impressionist landscape oil painting with blossom tree signed A Franchet. French, circa 1950s. Signed by the artist. Provenance in pencil on reverse: "Printemps pre Montfermeil". (Montfermeil is a suburb of Paris). Depicts a farmhouse in a rural landscape in spring time. Oil on canvas. Size: 18 x 15 inches. Weight: 476g (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a major woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
