Antique French handmade indigo blue linen biaude smock one size. 100% Linen. Scoop neckline with intricate handgathering, long sleeves with handgathering and button cuffs, button tab with gathering detail at base, large smock, one size fits all. 19th Century peasant/farmer's workwear. Size: Chest: 70 inches - lots of fabric; Shoulder to shoulder: 25 inches; Sleeve length: 22 inches; Length: 33 inches. Weight: 600g (allow up to 2 kg once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - one sleeve has been replaced with contrasting darker blue fabric and the other cuff is a bit tatty, some general fading to linen, splodges and a hand mend on back but all part of its make do and mend charm and character. Priced accordingly. Beautiful old biaude - it's getting harder to find these now. This is part of my collection which I am reluctantly offering up for sale.
