Antique French grey linen cotton metis smock dress with patches initials MB size M. Linen/Cotton blend - "metis". Dyed faded black/dark grey. Round neck with top button and open tab, lots of patches, side pleat, lots of original mends and darns, faint initials MB - lovely detail. Size: Chest: 44 inches; Shoulder to shoulder: 20 inches; Armhole width: 9 inches; sleeve width: 7 inches; Length: 41 inches. Weight: allow 1 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age and use - various patches, original mends and darns, some wear to hem and small hole on back but all part of its make do and mend charm and character.
