Antique French gilt ornate clock dome base or jewellery display stand plateau. French, circa 1880. Solid piece of wood with gilt gesso decoration at the front. Diamond shaped patterned top. Size: length: base: 12.5 x 6 inches; height: 1.5 inches. Weight: 478g (allow 2 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches to top and some knocks to and pieces missing from edge but all part of its charm and character. A beautiful thing - best described as faded grandeur or shabby chic. Priced accordingly.
