Antique cast iron singleton Egyptian style firedog. French, 19th Century. Circa 1880. Decorative item used by the fireplace to place fire irons on. Size: Length: 14 inches Width: 4 inches; Height: 7.25 inches. Weight: 3.3 kg (allow 5.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - some corrosion but overall sound and fine for use. Wonderful fireside display item.
