Antique French blue gilt display jewellery stand plateau with 4 bun feet. French, circa 1890. Solid piece of wood with gilt edging, faded blue silk top and 4 bun feet. Originally a clock base but suitable as a display stand. Size: base length: 11.25 x 6 inches; height 1.25 inches. Weight: allow 1 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age - lots of wear and fading to top and various knocks to and pieces missing from gesso edging (in particular one area as shown) but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. A lovely thing - think faded grandeur.
